Plan Our Life turns public data and research into planning numbers you can use. Every figure is labelled so you know whether it is a hard fact, a rounded estimate, or a planning assumption you should adjust.
The three certainty labels
Authority or research data. Used for legal requirements, official statistics and published rules.
Rounded planning figure. Used for yields, prices, catch rates and working time.
Planning default — adjust to your situation. Used for defaults like child food factors or placeholder figures when we have no regional catalogue.

Food needs and growing
The diet models are rounded food baskets inspired by the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations and national dietary surveys. We convert the yearly kilos into land area using yield estimates for northern Europe, and into working time using small-scale gardening figures.
Children are counted as 0.7 of an adult – a planning shortcut, not a medical recommendation. Animal numbers are rounded up to sensible minimum flock or herd sizes.
Retail and own-production costs are approximate and converted to your chosen currency at a daily rate. They are useful for comparison, not as a price guarantee.
Fishing and hunting
The wild-food catalogues list realistic yearly takes for a part-time hunter or angler. Usable meat, fillet yield, working time and permit costs are rounded planning figures from wildlife agencies and recreational-fishing surveys.
The permit and training requirements are facts in the sense that they are set by law, but the details change by region and year. Always confirm seasons, bag limits and firearm rules with the local authority before you hunt or fish.
Finance
The finance calculator is a straight-line model: loan = price − down payment, monthly interest and amortisation are calculated from the rates you enter, and running costs are summed. The warnings are rules of thumb, not lending criteria.
It is not financial advice, a tax calculation or a mortgage quote. Use it to sense check a plan, then talk to a bank or adviser.
