Who is allowed to buy land in Poland?
Agricultural land is largely reserved for individual farmers, with the national support centre holding a pre-emption right.
Farmer status or agency consent
Buying farmland above a small area generally requires being a qualified individual farmer or obtaining consent from KOWR, which also holds a right of first refusal.
Hold and farm for several years
Buyers are typically required to farm the land personally and not sell it for a statutory holding period.
